Prickly pear seed oil is pressed from the seeds of the Opuntia cactus — a slow, labour-intensive process that yields one of the most concentrated plant sources of vitamin E and omega fatty acids available in skincare. It is present in this body butter as a meaningful component of the formula, not a trace ingredient. Combined with shea butter, macadamia oil, hemp seed oil, and copaiba resin oil, the result is a rich, slow-melting butter that nourishes dry skin deeply without leaving a heavy residue.

The butter is ivory-gold and melts slowly on contact — deliberate rather than instant. The scent is warm and layered: rose at the top, grounded by patchouli and coriander, with the brightness of grapefruit and a subtle earthiness from the turmeric. It settles on the skin as a warm floral-citrus blend. The finish is soft and absorbed, not shiny.

Shea butter forms the body of the formula — deeply conditioning and rich in fatty acids compatible with dry, mature, and sensitive skin. Prickly pear seed oil contributes exceptional vitamin E content alongside omega-6 and omega-9 fatty acids that support the skin barrier. Hemp seed oil is particularly suited to dry or irritation-prone skin. Macadamia oil is high in palmitoleic acid, which closely mirrors the skin's own lipid composition. Copaiba resin oil — a botanical resin from South America — rounds out the formula and has been used traditionally for its skin-soothing properties.

Massage a small amount into clean, warm skin after bathing, showering, or whenever skin feels dry. Start with a little and add more as needed. Warm between your palms, then smooth over the body using gentle, slow strokes.

Best used on lightly towel-dried skin to help seal in moisture. Allow a few minutes to absorb before dressing.

This is a natural, waterless butter and its texture may change with temperature. It may soften in warmer weather and become firmer in cooler conditions. Store below 25°C and away from direct sunlight. If the butter becomes too soft, place it in a cool, dry area to firm again. If it feels firm, warm a small amount between your palms before applying.
