Charcoal Clarity Soap - Acne & Oily Skin

Activated charcoal works through adsorption — it attracts and binds to particles on the skin's surface, drawing out excess oil and impurities as it rinses away. The charcoal in this bar is activated from bamboo, which is a more sustainably sourced form than coal-derived alternatives. Paired with Australian tea tree (Melaleuca alternifolia) and lemongrass essential oils, and a base of olive, coconut, and rice bran oils, it delivers a thorough cleanse that doesn't leave skin feeling stripped.

The bar is a deep, matte black — the natural colour of the activated bamboo charcoal. The scent is fresh and medicinal: lemongrass provides a bright citrus note, tea tree adds its characteristic clean, slightly sharp quality, and peppermint gives a cool edge that lingers briefly on the skin. The lather rinses completely clear. Skin afterwards feels genuinely clean — not tight, not dry.

Activated bamboo charcoal is the functional ingredient here — present at a level that allows the adsorption mechanism to work rather than as a cosmetic addition. Olive oil, coconut oil, rice bran oil, cocoa butter, and shea butter form the base, providing conditioning alongside the cleansing. Tea tree (Melaleuca alternifolia) is an Australian native botanical with a long history of traditional use. The cold-process method preserves the qualities of all the oils in the formula.

Lather up with water and apply to damp skin, avoiding the eye area. Rinse thoroughly and follow with your usual skincare routine. To keep your bar going strong, store it on a draining soap dish and let it dry between uses.
